I am a licensed mental health counselor in Taiwan who works with individuals, couples, and families facing challenges in multicultural settings. I have eight years of experience in international schools that adopt the GCSE, IB, AP, and Common Core curriculums, plus one year of counseling experience in EAP services. I support individual clients in developing a deeper understanding of themselves through a therapeutic alliance during sessions, and in utilizing their strengths and coping skills to navigate and overcome their personal challenges. I also collaborate with cross-cultural and expat couples to improve their communication, mutual understanding, and relationship satisfaction.

In your life journey, you might be bogged down in a dilemma at certain moments and feel mixed-up and helpless. I believe that the key which leads to change was with you. However, the key is temporarily missing when you are disturbed by chaotic thoughts and feelings in a tough situation. Through counseling, I’ll accompany you to look inward to find the missing key.
I understand that seeking counseling and disclosing yourself in depth to a counselor requires courage. Therefore, I'll respect your pace and sincerely validate your feelings throughout our sessions.
The clients I often collaborate with are international students and expats working in Taiwan. During counseling, I provide eclectic therapy which combines need-based approach and multicultural counseling. I assist individuals in exploring their current needs, while considering systematic perspectives as well. I am sensitive to the cultural background, values and worldviews of individuals. Moreover, I help individual clients increase both self-awareness and ecological awareness by clarifying their contextual self and their outer world, then explore their potential strengths to develop coping skills that facilitate change.
