I am a licensed mental health counselor in Taiwan who works with individuals, couples, and families facing challenges in multicultural settings. I have eight years of experience in international schools that adopt the GCSE, IB, AP, and Common Core curriculums, plus one year of counseling experience in EAP services. I support individual clients in developing a deeper understanding of themselves through a therapeutic alliance during sessions, and in utilizing their strengths and coping skills to navigate and overcome their personal challenges. I also collaborate with cross-cultural and expat couples to improve their communication, mutual understanding, and relationship satisfaction.

Life often feels unclear—like standing in a fog. You may know you want something different, but feel unsure of your options, or doubt whether you can handle the choices in front of you. My role is to be a partner in this process: to sit with you in the fog, and to help you notice the signals your emotions, thoughts, and patterns are already offering.
I believe the heart of counseling lies in learning how to recognize and respond to your own needs—so you can care for yourself and make choices that feel truly your own. This sounds simple, but in reality it can be challenging.

As a counselor, I see myself as a partner who helps you sort through that fog. Every feeling and thought you bring into the room is an important clue to your inner life. Together, we explore your thoughts, emotions, and patterns of relating—sometimes with the aid of cards or creative materials—to practice observing yourself with clarity and compassion.

Through this process, you may begin to see that even in situations that once felt powerless, there are parts you can understand and influence. Step by step, this grows into a deeper awareness of your emotions, the messages they carry, and the life experiences that have shaped your beliefs and values. Over time, moving from the sense of “ I have no choice ”  toward “ I can create more choices ”.

Counseling is not a quick fix, but a meaningful journey inward. Life may not come with a ready-made map, but through counseling, you will create your own. Thank you for trusting me—it is a privilege and honor to walk alongside and witness a part of your journey
